Happy Valentine's Day!

These are the Valentine's Day cards that we made! Aren't they hoot-erific?!? AJ lost interest in gluing things on after about the 5th one but I finished them up for him. Inside it says, "Whooooo loves you? I do! I do! Owl love you owlways! Happy Valentine's Day!" Too cute, huh?

Bath time is so much fun!

Pose much?

I'm trying to teach AJ how to blow bubbles and he'll do it occasionally. Last night every time he went down I thought he was going to do it... he just drank the water instead. Goofy!

Making Valentines

I'm not sure why I haven't broken out the fingerpaints before but Andrew had A LOT of fun! They'll definitely come out more often now!

Look at that goofy grin! These are just the start of our valentines. Mommy has something pretty fun in store for the wee one...

UF Museum of Natural History

I have to admit I thought Andrew was going to be bored with a capital B at the museum but he really liked it. We constantly heard 'oooooohs!' coming from him. He particularly liked the skeletons (especially the woolly mammoth) and the shark jaws. He surprises me everyday!

Steve and Andrew check out what goes on when wood rots.

Andrew was absolutely mesmerized by these. OK, we all were. There were 6-8 reconstructed jaws there. They found the teeth in the St. John's River (Jacksonville) and Cooper River (I don't remember where this river is) and then did a cast of the projected size of the jaw. Criminy, they are BIG and really scary!

The big 'Oooooooh!' of the day was the woolly mammoth.

I just really like this picture. :)

Zoo

Shame on me- I didn't take out my camera once when we were at the zoo last Sunday in Gainesville. Luckily, Steve's Dad captured a couple of cute pictures of a pooped out Andrew. I think he liked the playground (and swinging a golf club in the front yard) better than the zoo.

The Playground in Gainesville, FL

When we were in Florida this past week, it wasn't warm. Just so everyone knows and isn't jealous.

Visiting Grandma & Grandpa Florida

These were actually taken during the Super Bowl . AJ seems rather uninterested in the TV and just feels like being silly and playing. The first half of the game was pretty boring but it picked up in the second half. I was a little disappointed that AZ didn't win. I got over it pretty quick though!

Playdate with Tyler

Tyler & Joe came over for a playdate and the pickup is a definite favorite. It'll go outside once spring comes but for now it's in the basement. I think AJ only knows how to go backwards in it and gets all whiney when he runs into the wall and can't go anywhere anymore.

Tyler is asking if he can get in with AJ. He doesn't really wait for an answer- he gets in anyway.

AJ is seriously stressed out that Tyler is sitting on him. It could be because Tyler weighs almost 10 pounds more than him but I am just speculating.

Tyler is having fun. AJ is not.

So AJ changed the situation and sat on Tyler. I love the look on Tyler's face over AJ's shoulder... Priceless.

Daddy's Hat

Lately AJ has been stealing Daddy's stocking cap and putting it on himself. I think he looks like a little gnome... :)

Crayola Kid

I know I haven't posted in awhile but that is because we haven't taken any pictures and I have been posting on my other blogs, My Pepita's Magic (a catalog of my cards) and Indigo Star Fairy (ramblings of my life). This blog is for family pictures (or should I say Andrew pictures?) from now on. Enjoy our poquito!

Blowing a kiss... (I had the wrong setting on the camera so that is why it is blurry and just after he blew the kiss)

AJ loves to color! We really didn't have anything to do today so I pulled out the big coloring pad and AJ went to work.

2008 Christmas Card

It is one of my very favorite holiday cards ever!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we went to mass (I thought it started at 8:30 and it was at 9 so we were there for almost 2 hours) and then came home to open all the presents that Santa brought. Andrew was more interested in the Chex Mix... He finally started to get into it and his favorite gift of the morning was a $1.19 can of tennis balls. He'd put them in, spill them out and squeal with delight! Oh, the simple things...

Opening a puzzle book. Check out my funky slippers! They are awesome!
AJ kept trying to look behind him at the bows but couldn't quite see or reach them! Here he is checking out a gas pump from Grandma and Grandpa Lipowski.
The tennis ball squeal!
He got the tube for his 1st birthday but he got a tent that connects to it now!

And here's a fun slide that'll stay inside until it gets a little warmer then 0 degrees...

The pick up truck is from Grandma and Grandpa Lipowski as well. He didn't want to go in it at first but eventually warmed up to it. This morning it was the first thing he went for. This thing took me 3+ hours to put together... grumble, grumble.
Uncle Craig and Andrew. AJ had some sweet potatoes for dinner and they are still on his face...

Grandma Jan and AJ playing patty cake.
Grandpa Jim and AJ.
My parents and my oldest brother, Craig, came down to Wausau for Christmas dinner. We had pork tenderloin with a rub and a sassy apricot, rosemary & jalapeno glaze. It was fantastic! We had a great Christmas!

Christmas Tidbits...

Geoff carved a Santa for my parents every year for 5 years back before he had a family...
I think they are pretty cool!
My mom and dad's tree is so dreamy. I love this picture. They found a really nice tree this year.

Remember I posted about my favorite ornament of all time? This is it! I love it!! My brother, Geoff, is behind me and my other brother, Craig, is next to me. We actually used to string popcorn for the tree...
