UW Spring Football Game

We headed down to Madison for the UW Spring Football Game and the first outdoor Farmer's Market last weekend. It also happened to be ridiculously nice out on Saturday. The Farmer's Market was fun but shoulder to shoulder people moving at a snail's pace by the time we got there which made it difficult to manuever a stroller (or a person for that matter) around so Steve went on the Capital lawn to play with Andrew. The lawn was toddler central and I forgot the camera in the car! But AJ had a blast running back and forth. We'll get down there again so I can take pictures. I did get to pick up some Hook's aged Cheddar (and some squeaky curds) at the Market but there wasn't a huge selection there. Mostly cheeses, sausage and plants that you plant. Did I mention that even though Madison has been getting yuckier weather than us their daffodils and crocuses and other spring flowers are in full bloom? Not fair. We headed to Great Dane for lunch for some delish pub grub. We are getting a Great Dane in Wausau! It is scheduled to open in the old Hereford & Hops building on May 22nd. Yum... After lunch, we headed to the game (with the camera as you can see).
Unbeknownst it to us the professional photographer capturing the game also captured the one of us above as we waited to snap a picture of AJ and Bucky. Someone Steve knows saw the picture on a Badger fan site and forwarded the site as well as Craig's blog (the photog) (www.craigjohn.com) with the picture posted on it. Craig sent me the picture after I told him that it was my family. Check out the cool photos he took from the day here. Also be sure to explore his site and view his AMAZING wedding/engagement photos that are artistic and extraordinary. When I just went to his site to get the link he had posted a note from & about me! Read it here.

AJ was so excited. It was his first time at Camp Randall. Definitely not his last!

A great father/son moment... Awwww.

This was taking from 40 rows up! Go Bucky!

AJ couldn't wait to meet Bucky. Oh Bucky! was one of his first words and he couldn't stop saying it when we were at the game. We waited awhile to meet him but it was well worth it!

Go Badgers!! I love this photo of him cheering!

After the game (and wandering around a very confusing neighborhood to find our car...) we went to our hotel for a much needed nap for the little one. Then we went over to our friend Paske's house for some drinks on the deck while the kids played and then off to Uno's for some dinner. Again left the camera in the car- those two were so cute playing together. Ava called AJ 'Energy'- 'Where's that boy Energy?' The next morning we stopped in to visit with Cathy and kids but missed Don by two minutes. We had a very fun weekend!!
